Although we are not full-fledged unschoolers, one of the reasons unschooling is appealing to me, is because kids get exposed to things they wouldn’t come to if their learning was directed by school/me/the standards.

The 200th edition of the Carnival of Homeschooling went live today. Very cool that it’s been around 200 weeks!
BTW, as a side note, it seems to me like there are a lot of non-homeschooling, business related posts on the carnival these days. What do you think?

It’s that time again folks - Borders teacher appreciation week has begun. Extra discounts and goodies can be found at your local Borders bookstores.
Also, remember that Borders and Barnes & Noble have changed their educational discount program. So if you haven’t already, you’re going to have to renew your card even if it’s not expired. Bring with you your teacher ID or PSA, or whatever other “proof” you have of being a homeschooler so you can get your new card.
